Draft 0.55m. Low-power/low-speed configuration: 10kW motor, 21kWh battery, top speed ~13km/h (~7 knots) — similar performance tier to the Delta 600 rather than the higher-powered Magic 640. Note: Marian's own marketing mentions a new production facility in Romania alongside its established Austrian base, so this manufacturer may not be purely Austrian going forward.

What a buyer should know

A lake boat, unapologetically

Ten kilowatts and a 21 kWh battery on the Capriole 700's seven-metre hull produce a top speed of about seven knots, and that combination is deliberate rather than underpowered. At full output the pack would run roughly two hours; at the half-throttle pottering this boat is actually built for, a full day on the water is a reasonable expectation, with an overnight charge to reset. The natural home is the Austrian, Bavarian, Swiss and northern Italian lakes where combustion engines are restricted or banned outright, and where seven knots is at or above the legal limit anyway. Buyers there are not giving anything up.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone wanting coastal work, watersports, or the ability to outrun weather. This is a displacement-speed craft and no amount of optimism changes that. Within Marian's own range it sits alongside the Delta 600 in performance terms rather than the more powerful Magic 640, so make sure the cheaper, slower tier is genuinely what you want before ordering.

At €55,000 it looks expensive per knot, but that is the wrong metric for the segment: European lake-boat pricing reflects joinery, finish and longevity, and comparable quiet electric runabouts sit in similar territory. One practical check — Marian has publicised a new production facility in Romania alongside its Austrian base, so confirm where your hull will actually be built and what that means for lead time.
